What qualifications do I need to be eligible for the Systems Administrator Industry Placement Year in London?
Applicants must be students in their penultimate year of study who are eligible for an industry placement as part of their degree.
What technology will I work with in this role?
As a Systems Administrator, you will work with a variety of technology, including Windows PCs and servers, UNIX servers, mobile devices, storage and clustered computing solutions, and communications platforms.
What kind of projects will I be responsible for during the placement year?
You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, administering infrastructure-level systems, implementing automation and efficiency improvements, and working with other engineering teams to support and deploy services.
What skills are important for this role?
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills are critical. Candidates should also have a demonstrated interest in technology, the ability to solve unfamiliar problems, and familiarity with systems administration and scripting languages.
How long is the industry placement for?
The industry placement is expected to run from June 2025 to June 2026.
