What is the duration of the Tax Internship?
The Tax Internship is offered for the Spring 2026 semester.
Where is the internship located?
The internship will be held in-person at our San Antonio office.
What responsibilities will interns have?
Interns will prepare personal and business tax returns, gain exposure to Trust returns, and perform other duties as assigned.
What are the educational requirements for this internship?
Candidates must be accounting majors in their senior year or graduate school, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
Is prior tax experience required?
While prior tax experience is not required, VITA Voluntary Income Tax Assistance experience is a plus.
What software skills are required for this internship?
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
What are the goals of this internship?
Interns aim to gain knowledge of tax law and compliance, prepare tax returns, and attain knowledge equivalent to a first-year staff level by the end of the internship.
Is there a potential for a full-time position after the internship?
Yes, there may be an opportunity for a full-time permanent position with the firm upon conclusion of the internship.
What communication skills are expected from interns?
Strong communication skills are required to effectively interact with team members and clients.
