You will be preparing personal and business returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S, as well as gaining exposure to Trust returns (Form 1041).
Is prior tax experience required for this internship?
No prior tax experience is required, but VITA Voluntary Income Tax Assistance experience is a plus.
What academic qualifications do I need to apply for the internship?
You should be an accounting major with a minimum GPA of 3.0, in your senior year or graduate school, and actively working towards meeting the education requirements for CPA certification.
Are there any specific software skills required for this internship?
Yes, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
What are the goals of the internship?
The goals include gaining knowledge of tax law and compliance, preparing tax returns, and achieving a first-year staff level of knowledge by the conclusion of the internship.
Is there an opportunity for full-time employment after the internship?
