What is the role of a Trainee Apprentice Cardiac Physiologist?
The Trainee Apprentice Cardiac Physiologist role involves dedicated training in Cardiac Physiology, including skills such as performing 12 lead ECGs, ambulatory 24-hour ECG and BP analysis, physiologist-led exercise testing, pacemaker and ILR implantation, and follow-up care.
Where will I complete my training?
You will receive practical training at St Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight and complete a BSc in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) at Bristol University.
How long is the training duration for this apprenticeship?
The training is expected to last for 3 years.
What salary will I receive during the training?
Annex 21 will be applied to the salary for the duration of training, as outlined in the attached guidance.
