What is the main role of a Trainee High Intensity Therapist at Croydon Talking Therapies?
The main role is to deliver high-quality cognitive-behavioural therapy to clients with depression and/or anxiety, as well as participate in training through the PG Dip in CBT course at Royal Holloway University of London.
How long is the training program?
The training program will last until early 2026.
What are the working days for this position?
Postholders will work three days a week in the service and study for two days at university.
Is there an expectation to remain in the role after training?
Yes, there is an expectation that successful applicants will stay in their posts and complete the training program.
Will I need to work evenings?
Yes, all staff are required to work one evening per week.
Where will I see clients?
Trainees will see clients in GP surgeries, outpatient clinics, and remotely.
What type of interventions does Croydon Talking Therapies provide?
Croydon Talking Therapies provides a full range of NICE recommended step 2 and 3 interventions, including CBT, IPT, Counselling, and EMDR.
What kind of team can I expect to work with?
You can expect to work with a friendly, creative, and welcoming team consisting of Step 2 clinicians, High Intensity Therapists, and admin staff.
