What are the qualifications required to apply for the Trainee Sonographer position?
Applicants should have a 2:1 or above graduate qualification in their area of expertise and should hold or be able to apply for HCPC, NMC, or GMC registration as a condition of employment.
What type of training will I receive?
You will undertake the clinical aspect of the Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound, with the taught component and assessment provided by the University of the West of England. The program covers areas including abdominal, small parts, gynaecological, and vascular ultrasound.
Is prior experience in ultrasound required to apply?
No prior experience in ultrasound is necessary, but a strong motivation and commitment to complete the intensive training course is expected.
What kind of ultrasound equipment will I be using?
You will be using state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, including Canon Aplio i600 units, and GE Venue ultrasound unit for portable scanning.
Can I have a flexible working arrangement?
