  • Strong interest in community development engineering disciplines
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction

  • Must have a vehicle, good driving record, and valid driver’s license
  • In progress toward earning a bachelor’s degree (minimum) in civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, environmental, construction management or related field required
  • Specific coursework or exposure to one or more of the following is desired: planning, design, construction, architecture, infrastructure, hydrology, environmental, surveying and construction management
  • Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk.

Responsibilities

  • Use technical and communication abilities to complete the civil component of a wide variety of projects in a dynamic design team setting
  • Inspect construction sites for compliance with project documents and engineering principals
  • Assist with preparation of plans and specifications, reports, and other project deliverables
  • Attend meetings on an as needed basis
  • Complete detailed reports as required
  • Procure permits and other approvals from various agencies
  • Communicate effectively with construction and engineering staff, clients, and other project stakeholders
  • Assist with CAD drafting and design, and preparation of construction documents
