Requirements

  • In study towards PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • In-depth expertise in deep learning (DL) and statistical machine learning (ML)
  • Extensive programming experience in python/C/C++ applied to image/video coding/processing and experience with one or more deep learning frameworks e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, is required.
  • Solid research background in image/video processing and image/video coding, or related fields. Proven track record of publications in first-tier conferences and/or journals a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong team player.
  • Currently enrolled in a doctorate program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 12 weeks between September 2024 – December 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement innovative image/video processing and video coding algorithms with learning-based and AI technology.
  • Document and present the new algorithms and implementations in various forms, such as technical white papers, etc.
