Responsibilities

  • - Involved in comprehensive and general assistance type office work for several professors as their primary responsibility.
  • - Support centers, institutes, committees, programs, and/or conferences where he/she functions as the interface between staff and professor.
  • - Typically performs moderate work within the center.
  • - May support programs and institutes, however, skills and involvement required are on par with center work detailed above and not similar to support provided by grade 10s responsible for centers.
  • - Moderate budget responsibility, typically budget monitoring and expense reconciliation.
  • - Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial, and general office duties including those of a confidential nature.
  • - Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies, and programs.
  • - Assist with the prioritization of office activities and delegate to and monitor the work of student and/or casual employees.
  • - Compose letters and correspondence.
  • - Perform general word processing, spreadsheet, and data entry duties utilizing intermediate-level functions.
  • - Monitor moderately complex budgets and/or grants.
