Requirements

  • Science Degree/Masters [preferably in a life or clinical sciences]
  • Or equivalent experience in digital marketing/ digital campaign management and good understanding of optimisation techniques.
  • Experience and Skills:
  • Experience of using commercial advertising server systems e.g. GAM and an email service provider
  • Data management platform and knowledgeable in various display targeting methods - behavioural/ contextual
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS for troubleshooting email code and Javascript for ad tags[1] [2]
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Highly organised and proactive
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook
  • Flexible and approachable
  • Experience of working under pressure and managing workload
  • Experience of pre-sales, or developing compelling sales propositions, preferably involving the use of contextual and behavioural 1st party data
  • Experience with advertising or marketing technology tools and platforms useful but not essential

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Consultation:
  • Play a key role in campaign planning by advising on best practices, audience targeting strategies and utilise contextual/behavioural systems to identify relevant targeting segments.
  • Take ownership of campaigns post launch, ensuring they are delivering as planned and optimising them to meet their performance goals.
  • Curating keyword based campaigns, researching key themes and terminology to create custom contextual campaigns for clients.
  • Generating audience segments to align with strategic goals and custom campaigns with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Campaign Management:
  • Continually monitor digital campaign performance - working with sales managers, clients, internal stakeholders to identify optimisation opportunities and communicate potential delivery concerns.
  • Monitor the custom inbox supporting sales with more complex campaign requirements I.E custom email segments/additional email sends and other support falling outside of standard deployment workflows.
  • Monitor email and eAlert deployment to ensure correct audiences are reached.
  • Presenting and Analysing:
  • Report and analyse digital campaigns by utilising BI tools and DMP insights.
  • Assist in preparing performance reports and presentations that outline the steps taken to address delivery issues and enhance performance.
  • Carry out rigorous testing and analysis in order to benchmark and improve performance.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Develop and maintain appropriate documentation regarding contextual/behavioural targeting, campaign analysis and optimisation approaches.
  • Work with key advertising stakeholders - Advertising Product managers, Development teams, Commercial marketing, and AdOps managers with new/existing projects, helping to integrate new platforms and liaising with all areas of the business as necessary.
  • Ensure AdOps campaign management processes are adhered to and refine methodologies, tools and templates to ensure high performing campaigns are delivered.
  • Develop and grow our audience segmentation offering, working with stakeholders to define emerging topics, research direction and aligning with SN’s approach to research and scientific progress
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Maintain clear and open lines of communication with the deployment execs to help identify campaigns with complex performance goals.
  • Assist Manager with the on-boarding and training of colleagues.
  • Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned with commercial colleagues to encourage knowledge sharing within the department.
  • Help support management with training around audiences and targeting capabilities.
