Responsibilities

  • Conducting hand searches of cabin luggage, passengers and staff.
  • Body searching (pat-downs) of passengers and staff.
  • Operating high-tech security equipment such as X-Ray machines and body scanners.
  • Patrolling our terminals and airport premises.
  • Checking of staff ID cards and passenger boarding cards before entering the security area.
  • Greeting guests to ensure they receive the very best service.

The salary is £14.62 per hour for full-time (38 hours) positions, inclusive of a 22.5% shift allowance, and £14.02 per hour for part-time earlies (30 hours), inclusive of a 17.5% shift allowance.

The role is based on average annualised hours of 38 per week for full-time and 30 hours per week for part-time roles. You will need to be flexible to work on a 24/7 operation, including night shifts, early mornings, late shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.

No prior security experience is required, as full training will be provided.

The role requires long periods of standing, bending, walking, and manual handling.
