Responsibilities

  • We are looking for someone who can provide functional leadership to RSME Gp and its training design team on: The implementation of internal policies, Training design prioritisation, Project Initiation Meetings (PIM), the RSME Training Quality Manual (Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT)), Training Design Workshops and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for your staff.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing 5 Civil Servants and 4 tri-service Military staff. As the Head of Training Design your main duties will include:
  • If required, consult with appropriate bodies to identify new equipment entering syllabus as well as collaborating with colleagues on new equipment projects
  • Review Methods & Media assessments and reports and Contractor developed training documentation for new equipment
  • Advise Official Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Training Working Group (TWG) training documentation
  • Using current Training Design software tools, capture training design progress on Priority Courses, and update the Commandant and Senior Leadership Team
  • Actively seek new technology which can enhance the design and delivery of training.
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments in the fields of learning development, design, internal validation and learning technology
  • Manage prioritisation process by utilising and developing the Training Design Management Tool (TDPT)
  • Attend online and in person training meetings as team leader, representing your department
  • As part of a team, conduct 1st party audit activities for RSME Group as directed
  • Travel to all locations where RSME Schools and Units are based across the UK.ie Melton Mowbray, Chatham and Camberley
