Is this position a permanent role?
No, this is a Fixed Term Contract role for 24 months.
What shift patterns will I be required to work?
Manufacturing Process Technicians are required to work a variety of shift patterns including days, 2, 3, and 4 cycle shifts.
What experience is necessary for this position?
Candidates must have previous aseptic experience in a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
What qualifications are required for this role?
Educated to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent is required, with a minimum of five passes including English and Mathematics. A third level qualification in a relevant discipline would be an advantage.
Will I be involved in problem-solving activities?
Yes, you will be involved in problem-solving and troubleshooting, including initiation and documentation of investigations.
What kind of audits will I participate in?
You will contribute and assist with Corporate, FDA, IMB Auditors, and other regulatory bodies during company audits.
Are there opportunities for training and development?
Yes, you will participate in a learning and development program, including annual reviews and goal setting via the Maximizing Amgen Performance (MAP) process.
What responsibilities do I have regarding safety?
You will be a champion for safe working practices and safety initiatives within your functional area.
Will I need to perform any cleaning or sanitization tasks?
Yes, cleaning and sanitization of production areas are part of the responsibilities.
What skills are preferred for this role?
Preferred skills include experience working with equipment used in the manufacture of parenteral products, good mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a team environment and on one's own initiative.
