Responsibilities

  • Assists in the management of stock levels in order to maximise profit through sales.
  • Assists in managing allocations, ensuring allocation plans are met.
  • Supports the sale process in order to maximise sales, whilst protecting margin and profit.
  • Ensures all departmental, brand analysis and reports are accurately produced, maintained and circulated on a weekly basis: Monday trade, in season trade, pre-season trade and end of season analysis.
  • Oversees markdowns and promotions.
  • Oversees and maintains Brand KPI sheets.
  • Monitors and analyses deliveries, working closely with suppliers and ensuring that the needs of the business are being met.
  • Negotiates with suppliers on the cost price and delivery dates.
  • Ensures cost price reduction in relation to deliveries.
  • Supports multi-channel analyses.
  • Responsible for updating the WSSI and assisting in departmental forecasting.
  • Support the merchandiser with solid analysis and preparation for all key meetings including sign offs and strategies.
  • Opportunities to be made responsible for product areas in end to end planning to trading over time.
  • Works closely with Merchandisers, Channel Merchandising, Buying, VM and the Web trade Team to deliver timely and accurate stock packages.
  • Supports the merchandising team in creating seasonal sales and buying plans that will maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Supports merchandiser monitoring stock on continuity lines, maximising sales opportunity.
  • Plans induction for new employees within the merchandising team.
  • Supports Merchandiser to ensure company and department information is communicated effectively to team through weekly team meetings.
  • Coaches and Develops team members at a junior level.
