What is the main purpose of the Assistant Psychologist role in the Islington Resettlement Scheme Wellbeing Project?
The main purpose of the Assistant Psychologist role is to provide outreach and screening services for refugee families resettled in Islington, offering holistic assessments and treatment for complex PTSD and common mental health difficulties.
What types of mental health difficulties will I be working with?
You will be working with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, low mood, and panic, among other common mental health difficulties.
Will I be setting my own caseload?
Yes, you may hold your own caseload and will be expected to conduct assessments and provide mental health interventions as part of your role.
What kind of supervision will I receive?
You will work under the supervision of qualified and experienced clinical psychologists, who will provide guidance and support throughout your work.
