Responsibilities

  • Working together with operational stakeholders locally and globally, lead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting process for the Canadian region, ensuring budgets are comprehensive, accurate and submitted within the required deadlines
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial performance versus the budget by being the bridge between the accounting team and the operational teams. Implement process improvements where required to improve both the accuracy of the reporting and budgeting
  • Prioritize weekly reporting of the company’s performance to support timely steering of the business by senior leadership
  • Evaluate all projects that impact the P&L including but not limited to capital investments, operational efficiencies, new brand launches, new product developments, always keeping an eye on ROI for the business
  • Coach a team of five analysts and one manager to develop their analytical and forecasting skills to better support the business
  • Develop a deep understanding of the key business drivers and effectively communicate them to the key stakeholders through reporting, dashboards, ad hoc scenarios and forward looking projections
  • All other duties, as assigned
