Responsibilities

  • Direct and lead the safety and sustainability Level 2 assurance programme for the year, to include CDM assurance, the safety and sustainability Functional Audit plan and any deep dive assurance activities undertaken by members of the safety and sustainability team to provide robust intelligence to the business on compliance and performance to facilitate effective management of risks and opportunities.
  • Provide lead auditor role on audits and technical quality reviews of documentation.
  • Liaise with other functions within ERCP to coordinate Level 2 assurance activities and feed into the Business Assurance Community where assurance from all functions is reviewed.
  • Develop and provide functional support, guidance and professional expertise on CDM through the production of governance documents and monitoring facilities and through direct communication and briefings.
  • Provide the single point of contact for safety and sustainability assurance with the regional team (managing Level 2 safety and sustainability assurance on behalf of the region), the programme controls team (managing overall coordination of audit plans), the Principal Contractors Licencing team and the ORR in order to deconflict assurance activities and maximise communication and learning between organisations.
  • Support the S&SD Assurance Team in the management of the assurance governance document for ERCP, to facilitate consistent application of assurance across ERCP to maximise learning and trend analysis from assurance to facilitate continual improvement to safety and sustainability performance.
  • Collate and manage the lessons learned and actions coming out of L2 assurance activities to provide a proactive approach to learning from events and continual improvement.
  • Support the regular review of safety and sustainability risks in ERCP, feeding in learning from Level 2 assurance and using outputs from risk reviews to feed into forward planning of audits to enable assurance to be targeted and linked to ERCP’s risk profile to improve safety and sustainability performance.
  • Analyse Level 2 assurance data/activities (early warning indicators) in S&SD and work with the team to identify potential improvement activities.
