What are the primary responsibilities of the AVP, Accounting & Tax role?

What qualifications are required for the AVP, Accounting & Tax position?
A Bachelor's degree is required, with knowledge of accounting theory preferred. Professional certification as a UK Chartered Accountant, US CPA, or equivalent is strongly desired. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in tax and accounting roles, including experience in Big 4 firms or equivalent in-house experience.
What skills are necessary for success in this role?
Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, along with proficiency in tax compliance, accounting, and financial reporting. Experience in managing cross-border tax compliance, knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, and familiarity with financial systems like Yardi and OneStream are beneficial. Indirect Tax and Employment Tax experience is also helpful.
