Responsibilities

  • The CAD Design Manager will have overall responsibility for the mechanical design drawing creation in the APC division. This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will build and maintain a data-driven CAD program for the design and execution of Air Pollution Control equipment projects. The position will also be responsible for enforcing CAD and design standards, ensuring that the design engineers meet design deadlines with consistent and high-quality drawings. This role currently oversees a team of 15, including 7 design engineers specializing in 3D space, 4 process engineers, and 3 controls engineers. The initial focus will be on day-to-day task management, resource planning, and data collection for individual and group performance. The ideal candidate will not serve as a working supervisor for the first few months. Daily responsibilities include managing team attendance, vacation schedules, training modules, and task progress. The role requires constant availability to guide the team and ensure continuous workflow.
