Responsibilities

  • This position will work outside on an active construction site.
  • As part of the construction management team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by monitoring the contractor's on-site construction activities and inspecting materials entering the work in accordance with the plans and specifications for the contract to determine that the project(s) are constructed in reasonable conformity.
  • This position will perform highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, including making and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests and coordinate and manage the work of junior inspectors;
  • review and interpret contract documents to determine if the contractor’s work is in compliance;
  • maintains detailed accurate records of the contractor’s daily operations and of significant events that affect the work;
  • conduct field testing of component materials and completed work;
  • and coordinate, guide, and oversee the junior inspectors on the project.
