What is the duration of the Clinical Fellow post?
The post is for 6 months from February 2025 and a further 6 months from August 2025. Alternatively, one candidate could hold the post for a total of 1 year.
What experience should applicants have?
The fellowship is suitable for doctors with SHO experience who are looking to pursue a career in Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, or Virology.
How many days a week will the fellow work in the infectious diseases ward?
The fellow will work 5 days per week in the infectious diseases ward, with flexibility around which day is not worked clinically.
Are there opportunities for research involvement?
Yes, there are potential opportunities to get involved in clinical trials research work on the non-clinical day.

It is an operational requirement to comply with infection prevention and control procedures within the Trust, such as lateral flow testing, handwashing, and wearing masks as per the procedures in place.

Interviews are primarily conducted virtually as part of our continued response to Covid-19.
