Where will the Clinical Scientist positions be based?
The positions will be based in either the Rare Disease and Reproductive Genomics or Cancer programme at the West Midlands Regional Genetics Laboratory.
Are the positions permanent or temporary?
There are a mixture of permanent and fixed-term contracts available, ranging from 12 to 24 months.
What qualifications are required for applicants?
Applicants should have an MSc or PhD in Genetics or significant laboratory/analysis experience in a relevant clinical setting.
Is previous experience in genomic technology necessary for this role?
Yes, demonstrable knowledge and experience of genomic technology and the interpretation of a range of scientific data is essential.

Yes, there is an active Continuing Professional Development programme available to all staff.
Is registration with HCPC required at the time of application?
Those candidates who are not yet registered with HCPC will be expected to work toward registration and will be appointed on a salary band appropriate for their experience.
