Responsibilities

  • Ensure all pallets are fully wrapped, labelled and received on to stock using the Lantec wrapping machine, WMS and Markem labelling system
  • Check that all product being bought on to stock is undamaged and, using the WMS system, check the product description, product code, best before end date and count are all correct
  • Communicate with Team Leader on all production product changes and breakdowns
  • Ensure that, where appropriate, all company documentation and procedures are followed and executed in the correct manner to company requirements
  • Checks stock being handled is undamaged (does not include restricted stock) and using WMS system, checks product description, product code, best before end date and correct count
  • Loads pallets onto vehicles, using safe working practices and checks both pallets and vehicles are clean
  • Operates a fork lift truck in accordance with company policy, transporting pallets of product or empty pallets from the loading bay to cold store or auto palletising
  • Prepares all products which are less than full pallet quantity, ensuring the G.K.N pallets is clean and safe to use
  • Picks product, ensuring it is undamaged, not restricted and is checked for correct type, code number and quantity. Collects product from correct location, keeping pallets level at all times
