Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure accurate and complete customs documentation.

  • Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and communicate updates and changes to relevant collaborators.
  • Resolve customs-related issues or disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with customs regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on customs compliance matters.
  • Establish and manage relationships with Canadian customs authorities and other relevant government agencies.
  • Stay informed about international trade agreements and programs that may impact customs compliance.
  • Supervise and analyze customs data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
  • Perform transactional activities related to the above areas of regulation.
  • Coordinate with other Canada Customs team members on various activities, such as uniform process development, CSA review for risk evaluation, and the review of products/services subject to Participating Government Agencies/SWI.
