Responsibilities

  • - Contribute to the delivery of an infection service to the patients of Royal Cornwall Hospitals’ NHS Trust and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly community.
  • - Support infection services and multidisciplinary patient care.
  • - Liaise in a timely manner with clinicians, hospital staff, medical microbiologists, laboratory staff, general practitioners, and health protection consultants concerning the diagnosis and management of patients, control and prevention of infections, including the provision of telephone advice.
  • - Develop relationships with the staff in different clinical areas.
  • - Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings and participate in other clinical or audit meetings as required.
  • - Be actively involved in the delivery of the education programme of the University of Exeter.
