Responsibilities

  • Be part of a team managing all digital internal and external digital channels, targeting, evaluating, maximising channel impact, and developing and implementing new channels.
  • Work closely with your line manager and your wider team to commission, coordinate, prioritise and deliver communications plans and content.
  • Create and deliver compelling content across internal and external channels.
  • Help deliver a consistent quality service on proactive and reactive communications issues and campaigns.
  • Quickly develop an understanding of the Met’s operational challenges and internal culture.
  • Understand campaigns, marketing, and stakeholder management.
  • Work with others to build effective networks of influencer and community voices to deliver influencer-centric strategies.
  • Help manage multiple internal and external digital channels to help us improve how we reach and engage with our diverse audiences and meet their needs, including helping maintain channel safety and standards.
  • Be a representative of communications at organisational or partnership meetings.
  • Be part of a culture of continuous learning in which we evaluate and improve ways of working and communications delivery.
  • Help manage audience engagement–driving positive engagement, managing inappropriate comments to ensure our channels are a safe space for contributors, and ensuring response and rebuttal as needed.
  • Help convert digital analytics into insights as part of regular reporting.
