Requirements

As interest in working within the maritime industry, water industry or a similar type of industry.
An interest in Control Systems
An interest in the legal and safety aspects of Control Systems
An interest in Functional Safety Systems
An interest in large mechanical and electrical moving structures
A degree in Control Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, and/or Instrumentation.
Experience in standard Microsoft packages: Words, Excel, etc.
An interest in drawing production using 2D and 3D software.
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills

Responsibilities

Development of the Control Philosophy
Undertake condition surveys of machinery / moving structures
Prepare survey reports that detail non-compliance with legislation and operational improvements required
Development of the Control System Risk Assessment to International standards
Determination of the best design approach based on technical and commercial constraints
Prepare designs for Control Systems, from initial concepts through to developed designs.
Prepare performance specifications
Prepare and assemble tender packages
Collaborate with project stakeholders to find the best technical solutions
Collaborate with our Revit Technicians to develop the associated 3D Revit model to meet the project requirements
Co-Ordination the Control Systems scopes with other engineering disciplines
