Responsibilities

  • To provide tax technical support to the Irish businesses of Phoenix Group on all relevant tax matters while ensuring ongoing compliance with legislative and internal tax reporting requirements.
  • The role will provide exposure to all relevant taxes with opportunities to be directly involved in advisory / project / tax audit work alongside tax reporting responsibilities.
  • To manage corporation tax compliance process for Irish entities ensuring timely and accurate submission of required tax returns.
  • To prepare all relevant internal tax reporting figures and disclosures (including, in respect of statutory financial statements) and review tax related reconciliations where required.
  • To act as principal point of contact for all tax reporting matters.
  • Preparation of VAT and other indirect tax returns for Irish entities.
  • To act as SME and principal point of contact for operational tax matters within the Irish business providing tax technical guidance and advice on ad hoc matters and to ensure continued compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
  • To provide analysis and advice to business in respect of the impact of new tax legislation, guidance including departmental training where required.
  • To support delivery of tax related objectives associated with all internal Projects and initiatives ensuring advice is provided in timely, accurate fashion.
  • To maintain appropriate transfer pricing documentation ensuring continued compliance with legislative requirements, in particular in respect of local file documentation.
  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with tax authorities and to assist in closure of all open tax matters on timely basis.
  • To maintain strong internal controls in respect of tax related processes closing any identified issues.
