Requirements

  • Instructional strategies for ELA.

  • Methods of evaluation in different ELA contexts.
  • Lesson designs and learning evaluation situations using Understanding by Design framework.
  • Experience as a Secondary master/teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system.
  • Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
  • Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.

Responsibilities

  • Examination of appropriate materials related to the high school English programs; exploration of various techniques of teaching language, literature, writing and dramatics in the secondary school.
