  • Demonstrated knowledge (e.g., through publications, theses, work experience) of micro and macroeconomics of sustainability, market structures, principles of substitution, market failures and externalities, monetization and pricing of externalities. Demonstrated knowledge of policy instruments, permits and licenses, mandates, incentives, penalties, taxation and eco-social principles, mechanism design, the principles of life cycle analyses and the circular economy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of impact of engineering on ecological and economic sustainability. Past experience in economic analysis for sustainability /sustainable development through graduate education and/or teaching.

  • Teaching the course Economics for Sustainability in Engineering and Design - SEAD 530.
  • Preparing course materials and assignments.
  • Delivering lectures and facilitating discussions.
  • Evaluating student performance and providing feedback.
  • Maintaining office hours for student consultations.
