  • Managing high-performing staff / teams including carrying out performance management, undertaking resource planning and embedding a focus on continuous improvement and best-practice
  • Traffic management, preferably within a live urban environment
  • Ability to successfully lead coordination and delivery on large and complex construction projects
  • Ability to manage multiple technical requirements and teams within a construction environment, and manage technical outputs to drive efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the provision of design and technical services required to support the development and delivery of CBCIW
  • Accountability for establishing and leading an integrated Design and Technical Services function, focussed on ensuring the project meets required technical standards
  • Assume responsibility for overseeing, inter alia, the integration of all design and engineering disciplines, the tender design process, and health and safety and traffic management standards across the project
  • Assist the NTA’s Design and Technical Services Lead in establishing and leading the Design and Technical Services Functional Area within the CBCIW Client Organisation, providing strategic direction and overseeing the management of a high-performance, integrated Design and Technical Services function
  • Lead the relevant design and technical services sub-functional area teams and will be required to develop and undertake detailed financial and resource planning for the Functional Area
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the activities of CP staff within the function, ensuring they are carrying out their relevant tasks efficiently and effectively to ensure the successful delivery of CBCIW
  • Act as the point of contact between the Design and Technical Services Functional Area and relevant NTA stakeholders and will be required to actively encourage knowledge transfer between CP staff within the Design and Technical Services Functional Area and NTA staff
  • Coordinating all relevant reporting to the PMO and any additional reporting required in line with defined governance arrangements
  • Act as a source of expert advice, supporting the appropriately skilled and experienced resources across the sub-functional areas within the Design and Technical Services function
