Responsibilities

  • Completes technical design to meet creative intent, generating all practical working documents; including but not limited to, wiring schematics, CAD drawings and 3-D models, inventory lists, labor estimates, and SOP documents. Works in cooperation with Entertainment Technical Managers, Supervisors, Technical Designers, Entertainment Events team, Entertainment Production Team, and Art and Design Team to ensure scope and design intent are met.
  • Works in cooperation with Entertainment Technical Production Manager and Entertainment Technical Manager to ensure install and strike adhere to production schedule. Develops SOP documentation to ensure proper operation of related technical equipment. Ensures technical crews are adhering to UO grooming standards, UO EHS standards, and that technicians are following SOP during operation of project. Supervises technical crews in the installation, operation, and strike of the assigned projects or events.
  • Determines purchases of equipment, materials and supplies, balancing all between design intent and budget allotment, reviewing with Technical Manager for approval.
  • Researches applicable vendor information and obtains pricing from vendor, securing bids as necessary per UO Company policy. Interfaces with on-site contracted vendors as relates to adhering to production schedule and ensuring compliance with all UO EHS standards.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
