Responsibilities

  • Acts as a thought partner for the leadership to ensure the people and organization strategy is a key enabler to achieving the business results
  • Drives business results by creating/implementing human resource initiatives tailored to business requirements
  • Acts as an influential advisor and a credible activist identifying and driving change by owning end to end execution of the functional HR work
  • Serves in a leadership capacity for the continuing roll out of Biogen's articulated goals, values, vision and culture while encouraging entrepreneurial, bold and prudent risk-oriented business activities
  • Works with clients to implement and manage human resources processes, including the year-end performance management process including performance assessment, calibration and compensation planning. This includes total rewards and review (annual bonus and long-term incentives) as well as organization & HR Planning
  • Builds working relationships with the HR Center of Excellence (COE) functions such as Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Shared Services, and People & Organizational Capability to roll out corporate-wide programs and ensure client’s needs are understood and met
  • Ensures the business attracts, develops and retains high quality talent at all levels globally in a continuous pipeline to support the growth objectives, opportunities and strategies of the business
  • Works with clients and other HRBPs to manage and address employee relations issues
  • Coaches and counsel client management and employees
  • Plays an active leadership role in the commitment to continuous improvement
  • Act a consultant and advisor with evolving and significant understanding of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to further learning and capability within client group, own function, and broader organization
  • Work in partnership with DE&I, the HR community, and the ERNs to build a strong internal and external reputation as a great place to work for all and cultivate a strong external network of appropriate D&I connections
  • Utilize the HR dashboard to understand diversity metrics, and review data regularly to reinforce and inspire action, accountability and outcomes
