Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items affect the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the organization.
  • Drive organizational development, change management and build organizational capacity for assigned business segments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members, either directly or indirectly, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Understand organizational strategy, draw insights from talent data and advise the business to define talent requirements.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to develop staffing strategies to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions of responsibility and ensures implementation and effectiveness within assigned business group. Work to develop appropriate and effective external candidate slates for management levels within the organization.
  • Partnering with Total Rewards, develop and implement progressive and proactive reward and recognitions programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance.
  • Deploy enterprise programs and adapt to business and geographical needs to allow the organization to drive diversity and inclusion strategies to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees.
  • Partnering with Talent Management, identify competency, skills programs to assess and fill the identified gaps. Areas of activity will include talent management through rigorous succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and promote the business benefits of a diverse and inclusive workforce through guiding leaders in achievement of DEI objectives.
  • Maintain knowledge of global HR policies, programs, laws and issues. Understand the differences of domestic and international policies and programs and coordinates the integration of all such programs. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management advice and guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Work closely with management to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase efficiency and retention.
