  • Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or related field from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of prior relevant experience in engineering operations or managing all types of Survey, SUE, or Civil Engineering projects and/or team
  • Professional Engineer (P.E) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licenses preferred
  • The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate past achievements in delivering engineering projects, strong leadership capabilities and a robust work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in project management tools, operational software, and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities
  • Experience in managing office staff as well as project management
  • Extensive knowledge of Survey, SUE, and Civil Engineering processes and standards

Responsibilities

  • - This position will be based at our Atlanta office and will closely collaborate with our senior management.
  • - Coordinate resources for current and future growth across our diverse service sectors.
  • - Process improvement for intake of engineering work requests across various programs.
  • - Overseeing employee development initiatives and fostering growth within the team.
  • - Managing projects based on their nature and team requirements.
  • - Demonstrating strong leadership and people management skills
  • - Responsible for day-to-day operations and overall resource management and financial metrics
  • - Responsible for working with the Senior Management and Project Managers for day-to-day decisions on resource allocation, staffing, and project budget.
  • - Manage recruiting and hiring, coordinate resource scheduling for various programs, and oversee the review and approval of new hires.
  • - Lead and optimize day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • - Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, minimize costs, and foster innovation.
  • - Collaborate with senior management to establish operational objectives aligning with company strategies.
  • - Oversee project management, resource allocation, and risk assessment to ensure project success.
  • - Cultivate collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and fostering employee engagement.
  • - Analyze operational metrics and financial reports to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • - Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the operations team.
  • - Responsible for managing multidisciplined Survey, SUE, and Civil department and providing technical guidance.
  • - Provides progress and activity reports to management.
  • - Establishes processes to meet quality standards. Monitors work practices to identify concerns or issues that do not meet these quality standards.
  • - Oversees all Survey, SUE, Civil Engineer deliverables that allows for the accurate execution of a project over the life cycle of the project.
