Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executives to shape and implement long-term and short-term strategic planning, policies, and objectives.
  • Develop and execute a robust manufacturing plan, ensuring adherence to customer and company quality standards.
  • Formulate and advocate for manufacturing policies that enhance the company's competitive edge and profitability.
  • Lead and drive capital improvement projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Oversee the management team to achieve the manufacturing plan's goals, ensuring compliance with safety and manufacturing procedures.
  • Act as the site safety champion, promoting and ensuring a culture of safety across all operations.
  • Serve as a key liaison between department leaders and the executive team to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Strategically manage talent: recruit, train, develop, and evaluate staff. Take timely corrective action and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, in consultation with the Human Resources Department.
  • Spearhead initiatives to boost productivity, minimize costs, and reduce scrap. Monitor and act upon scrap and rework data.
  • Direct the implementation and maintenance of production standards.
  • Manage essential manufacturing programs, including training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, and security.
  • Lead significant projects such as plant layout changes, capital equipment installations, and major repairs.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts with a proven track record of enhancing operational performance and financial outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough capacity analysis and planning to optimize resource utilization and meet production demands.
  • Be the driving force behind lean implementation, ensuring lean principles are effectively integrated and sustained.
