What is the primary focus of the General Planners role with Serco?
The primary focus is to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance recovery initiatives in Zone 2 across the Midwest, providing assistance to state, tribal, territorial local governments, and some private non-profits in disaster recovery efforts.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of FEMA Public Assistance experience, a Bachelor's degree paired with 5 years of disaster fieldwork experience or a graduate level degree with 2 years of experience, or 10 years of disaster fieldwork experience. An adult learning background and experience providing training support are also required.
Is there a requirement for a DHS Clearance for this role?
Yes, this position is contingent upon your ability to obtain, maintain, or transfer a DHS Clearance.
Are there deployment requirements for this role?
Yes, you must be willing and able to deploy anywhere in Zone 2, with a 24-48 hour notice after Task Order Award, and be available for 6-12 month deployments at a minimum.
