Responsibilities

  • Ensures the overall editorial accuracy and quality of all written material with respect to style, consistency, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Communicates effectively with Medical Colleagues, Account Service Colleagues, and the Creative department to ensure quality/editorial accuracy of work
  • Understands and applies principles of good publication practice
  • Performs the appropriate level of edit as directed by the Medical Colleagues (neither “overedits” nor “underedits”)
  • Meets project deadlines without compromising editorial quality
  • Effectively manages multiple projects when necessary
  • Assists Medical Writers in entering corrections to manuscripts when appropriate
  • Communicates with team members on deadlines when appropriate
  • Keeps track of any client style directives and ensures that subsequent pieces follow this style
  • Assists Publication Technology Manager in keeping EndNote entries accurate and up-to-date
  • Other duties as assigned
