  • - Experience: 3-5 years working for an electrical design firm or design-build electrical contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design tasks assigned by Lead or Supervising Engineers; report weekly progress and provide estimates for task completion.
  • Perform complete construction documents, including drawings and specifications/documentation, point-to-point schedules, control diagrams, power studies on hyperscale data centers, conductor heat calculations, and construction support.
  • Coordinate design with equipment submittals.
  • Reviews design and follows QAQC processes through the design and construction phases.
  • Technical resource to other Engineers, Designers, Estimators and Project Managers.
  • Professional responsibility that construction documents meet applicable codes and customer requirements.
  • Responsible for design coordination with the project manager so that design documents meet project scope requirements.
  • Perform engineering calculations and complex, hyper-scale, data center power studies.
  • Attend internal and external meetings - architect, MEP, GC, project manager, and owner’s SME coordination.
  • Complete assignments on schedule.
  • Maintain technical development goals and continuing education credits.
  • Mentor Designers in technical subject areas.
  • Obtain Professional Development and Training.
  • Implement the Engineering department's Design and CAD workflows among the team.
  • Interact and coordinate with CEI's inter-department staff and managers supporting their agenda.
  • Participate in development of new CEI standards and processes.
  • Coordinate with CAD Manager for CAD support for the project.
  • Perform hyper-scale data center project power studies and provide mentorship to Designers.
  • Apply complete conformance of State and NEC CODES to documents.
  • Provide Conformance to the Standards and processes outlined by the CAD/BIM Manager.
