Responsibilities

  • Lead data strategy development, data governance, and data management in addition to the availability, usability, integrity, retention, and security of the information/data employed throughout the organization.
  • Lead and participate in the implementation of the enterprise data management strategy. This includes defining business rules/definitions and providing control on how data is to be used enterprise-wide while translating an organization’s practical objectives into actionable tasks and systems design.
  • Lead and participate in the implementation of solutions to improve data quality, business intelligence, and reporting across Cru
  • Participate in the Enterprise Architecture Team and assist in creating roadmaps for data systems, evaluating data technologies, and filling gaps in the capabilities necessary for Cru to become data-driven.
  • Design the logical and physical structures of data systems, such as data warehouses and other data stores
  • Create data models that dictate how data should be organized, stored, accessed, and maintained
  • Analyze and align available data sources with the business’s strategy and objectives
  • Integrate new technologies into an overall data architecture, e.g. cloud computing, data lakes, and artificial intelligence
  • Manage the development and maintenance of data dictionaries and glossaries to help support non-technical system users
  • Define, document and maintain data standards for the organization. Define reference architecture, which is a pattern others can follow to create and improve data systems
