Responsibilities

  • Maintain regulatory compliance of product recipe and labeling based on government agency regulations in the countries we are producing and selling. Make product and labeling recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • This position is responsible for managing customer requests for claims and labeling exceptions, correspondence to customers and sales related to product and labeling compliance issues. Participate in New Product concepts as requested by sales and R&D departments staying in close contact with these departments. Monitor regulatory changes and food alerts in our markets and communicate regular updates with the main stakeholders. Represents Schreiber with authorities and at external stakeholder meetings and audits, as necessary (e.g. industry association, regulators). Participate in relevant and global Food Safety and Quality projects. Acts like a superuser of internal Product Information Management system.
  • This position is responsible for the management of Ingredient/Nutrition Release (INR) process, all proofing processes related to labeling compliance and quality assurance for packaging as well as troubleshooting of packaging issues within the design process. Additionally, Maintain KPIs of the position.
  • Manage proofing functions for all Schreiber product recipe and packaging to ensure that product labeling meets current local and EU regulations.
  • Research and interpret food regulatory compliance requirements in response to internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Manage and develop Ingredient Nutrition Releases from information provided by R&D.
  • Troubleshoot packaging issues and customer requests for exceptions as it relates to product labeling.
  • Develop correspondence to customers, sales and vendors to deal with product and package labeling issues.
  • Manage and develop Standard Operating Procedures for Proofing area.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and updates in local markets, the EU, and where we produce and sell and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate supporting materials to assist on annual Certifications and claims from authorities. Manage conversations and cooperate with authorities and industry associations.
  • Manage legal packaging review for acquisitions.
