What are the primary responsibilities of the Financial Accountant DACH?
The primary responsibilities include managing accounting and bookkeeping tasks for the Dutch parent company and its subsidiaries in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, processing invoices, reconciling bank accounts, managing payable and receivable accounts, assisting in the month-end closing process, and supporting annual audit documentation.
Where is the role based?
The role can be based in either our Amsterdam headquarters or Cologne office.
What qualifications are required for this position?
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related area, at least 2 years of relevant experience as a financial or general ledger accountant, fluency in German and English, and proven experience with accounting systems.
Is knowledge of VAT and tax compliance necessary for this position?
While not mandatory, knowledge of VAT and other tax compliance requirements is considered a nice-to-have for candidates.
