Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full stack development and project management.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrable experience programming in Qt and Python.
  • Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), and development tools (e.g., VS Code, Visual Studio).
  • Familiar with integration and virtualization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), source control and cloud services (AWS / GCP).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and goals. Design, develop, test, and deploy web and native applications, ensuring they are performant, secure, and user-friendly.
  • Create and maintain relational databases and optimize data storage and retrieval.
  • Follow and build upon software engineering best practices for code management and testing.
  • Develop infrastructure for transmission of sensitive clinical data on the cloud.
  • Support engineering by developing automation and test tools.
  • Develop server-side APIs, RESTful services, and integrate with external APIs as needed.
  • Develop new user interface used to view medical images.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance software development processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as necessary.
  • Build well designed and effective applications that support complex workflows.
  • Work with QA to validate and document feature development.
  • Work with a cross-functional team on projects related to MRI, DICOM viewers, and robotics.
