Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Graduate from a recognized Office Administration Program preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset. Minimum six (6) months related administrative/secretarial experience preferred.
  • A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered
  • Keyboarding skills minimum of 40 wpm required, 60 wpm is preferred (testing may be conducted on shortlisted candidates and be considered in candidate suitability)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technology (testing may be conducted on shortlisted candidates and be considered in candidate suitability)
  • Previous experience with Meditech and Community Wide Scheduling (CWS) preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads required.
  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment, while meeting strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated excellent organization skills, strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Manager and under the supervision of the Clinical Leader, the General office clerk works independently and is responsible for the duties associated with booking and registration process.
  • Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • scheduling ultrasounds and consultations;
  • coordination of appointments;
  • registration of patient visits;
  • retrieval, labeling and filing of patient records;
  • responding to telephone inquiries;
  • Order Entry of lab specimens;
  • and other administrative duties as required.
