Responsibilities

  • Monitor Non Production Materials (NPM) inventory on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis for opportunities to reduce circulation, increase turnover, dispose of inactive material and identify trends in potential high theft/scrap/loss of material.
  • Determine causes of inventory discrepancies (e.g. negative stock) and initiate appropriate corrective action to correct records.
  • Review open purchase order reports and receipt/disposition for inventoried material as required.
  • Review invoices to confirm receipt.
  • Log non-conformances from material receipt to repository currently in use and follow up with vendor for resolution as necessary.
  • Interface with third party vendors (repair warranty, chemical management, etc.) regarding internal or external inventory requests or issues.
  • Review tool stock requests (TSRs) and initial repeat purchases from previous day, cancel unnecessary orders.
  • Support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities as defined in the Tool Stores Book of Knowledge through daily housekeeping reviews and/or 5-S checks as well as initiating and implementing Kaizens. Participation in WCM pillar committees as required.
  • Assist Order Processing and Control (OPC) with all ordering and tracking issues required by OPC.
  • Assist with monthly audits and inventory requirements; work with service providers to determine root causes of count discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Assist in providing NPIC system access as needed.
  • Responsible for CMR process for parts creation and coding to AAM standard with external support team.
  • Responsible for the General Store process according to new AAM standards.
