Responsibilities

  • Lobbyist/prospect relationship management:
  • Managing existing and creating new lobbyist and government official relationships to facilitate pipeline generation with business development and government industry team.
  • Engage in political activities (as appropriate) including political committees, trade associations, and business groups, to inform our growth efforts.
  • Develop, formulate, and submit legislative disclosure act requirements at the federal and state levels.
  • Managing pursuit process:
  • Leading and participating in RSM and client/prospect meetings, management of opportunities and accounts in RSM’s project management system CRM, and development of account/growth for prospects utilizing RSM’s Sales Roadmap template.
  • Manages relationships for account maintenance with established states.
  • Develop relationships with small and large business partners for teaming at the state level.
  • Coordinate teaming agreements and subcontractor agreements, as appropriate.
  • Industry component:
  • Perform state-specific legislative efforts such as monitoring, tracking, researching, and reporting on legislative efforts and analyzing the proposed legislative language to ensure RSM priorities are emphasized, and best industry practices are deployed.
  • Review budgetary documents to identify potential RSM opportunities and implement tracking of such items for each strategic growth priority market.
  • Review legislative text and draft proposed bills to align with RSM go-to-market initiatives as appropriate in each relevant jurisdiction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
