Requirements

  • The ideal candidate would have the following experience/skill set:
  • Interest in groundwater, stormwater and water resources management
  • Proven skills in GIS applications; AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Strong technical writing skills; Grant and proposal writing experience, a plus
  • Must be able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously; and have strong organizational, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Expertise using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and other relevant software; Visual Basic and Avenue programing a plus
  • Geotechnical engineering and/or groundwater sampling experience a plus
  • What you will bring to the team:
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental preferred) and/or Hydrogeology/Geology; degrees in both engineering and geology a plus
  • 0-2 years of experience of applied knowledge in planning, engineering and hydrogeology
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities to work both within a team and independently
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software programs
  • Must be able to complete occasional field work requirements including supervising drillers, groundwater soil and gas sampling, construction observations

Responsibilities

  • Preparing technical reports
  • Analyzing various types of groundwater, climate, surface water, surface water, stormwater and water quality data
  • Developing plans, specifications and cost estimates (PS&E)
  • Ability to conduct field work and collect data related to drilling, sampling and construction observations
