Requirements

  • You will demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of energy system operation and have skills and experience in using programming languages and operational research techniques that will allow a step change in the type and level of analysis we complete.  A good level of ability in producing written reports and presentations, as well as analysis and design would be beneficial.  You will have a minimum 2.2 degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Maths.  Ideally, you will also have a valid full UK Driving Licence.

  • assessing network faults 
  • developing system operational plan 
  • working with GB transmission owners to ensure our network simulation models are maintained to provide accurate and technical analysis necessary to electricity network design 
  • managing the technical aspects of electricity frameworks (both GB and Europe)
