Responsibilities

  • Maximising Equipment Performance:
  • Ensure timely repairs and maintain appropriate spare part levels.
  • Equip engineering staff with the necessary skills to maintain equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of all engineering issues and activities.
  • Establish service programs for equipment, maximizing availability.
  • Monitor equipment performance for key assets.
  • Develop and operate an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program.
  • Complete projects to install and modify equipment to meet business demands.
  • Quality and Safety:
  • Ensure safe manufacturing processes and methods.
  • Conduct risk and COSHH assessments for equipment.
  • Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Repairs and Maintenance:
  • Enable effective fault-finding on manufacturing equipment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts and service schedules.
  • Plan training for the engineering team.
  • Schedule PPM activities to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain records of service and repair activities.
  • Develop a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program for Production staff.
  • Plant Equipment and Services:
  • Maintain plant and services to high standards.
  • Review external servicing providers’ competence.
  • Keep records of service and repair activities.
  • Projects and Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive technology projects in collaboration with external partners.
  • Meet business needs through innovative solutions.
