Responsibilities

  • Overall Area Management
  • Propose and align People & Culture strategy
  • Manage People & Culture budget
  • Manage direct reports
  • Own recruitment (be accountable for work performed by team, in addition to below)
  • Establish & maintain contractor agreements (as required)
  • Extend offers & co-ordinate final agreements
  • Compile contracts and other relevant paperwork
  • Manage offboarding payroll (with finance)
  • Own office management (be accountable for work performed by team)
  • Manage relationship and negotiations with office providers
  • Ensure that office provision is appropriate for recruitment pipeline
  • Manage budget for office equipment and customisation
  • Own policies
  • Write & secure approval for policies (incl. updates to: hybrid working; expenses; device management; samples management; & time-in-lieu / leave allowances)
  • Manage our Notion Employee Guide
  • Own employee engagement
  • Carry out surveys (pulse & bi-annual), pinpoint insights, and recommend actions
  • Lead Culture Convo’s & support SLT to evolve Mous’s company values if needed
  • Be accountable for recognition of great work performed across the business
  • Own training & development
  • Organise “Mousterclasses” (masterclass training sessions)
  • Give/organise line manager training (including leadership training)
  • Lead performance management
  • Lead review cycles
  • Lead Performance Development Plan (PDP) process
  • Work with managers to facilitate Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)
  • Lead employee relations
  • Instruct legal advice (as required)
  • Prepare legal documents (as required)
  • Co-ordinate contract changes (e.g. pay review, working hours)
  • Lead pay & rewards
  • Process monthly payroll (incl. effecting agreed changes & addressing queries)
  • Lead sign-off on Annual Pay Review & Bonus (w/ FD, MD, & CEO)
  • Co-ordinate bonus terms and compile paperwork (as required)
  • Manage Benefits (incl. health insurance, pension etc.)
  • Complete other ad hoc work (incl. EOQ/Board updates, org chart preparation, holiday management etc.)

You will report to the Managing Director.

You will have two direct reports: the Recruitment & Office Manager (UK) and the HR & Office Manager (Pakistan).

Yes, experience managing international HR and advising leadership teams on People & Culture best practices is essential.

Success will be measured by improvements across the employee lifecycle, helping to avoid HR bottlenecks as we scale, and being a strategic partner to the Senior Leadership Team.
